FOCUS 2.0 Expose' - Clinical Records

Clinical Records

The Clinical Record section of FOCUS 2.0 is now a fully integrated (optional extra) part of the application. To access a clinical record for a patient, it is as simple as it is look at a patient’s Rx. Previous records can be viewed using the Previous/Next buttons at the bottom of the screen. As can be seen from the screenshot below, the layout is very similar to FOCUS 1.0 Clinical Records. We thought that this should be maintained as the layout and arrangement of the fields and data is the main reason why many customers purchased the module in the first place. To make a major rearrangement would defeat the object of the exercise. What can also be seen from the screenshot below is that this is also at the prototype stage of development. There is much that is needed to finish this screen out, both in terms of presentation and functionality.

What can be seen though is the arrangement of tabs along the top of the screen. Most of these will remain as they are and the layout of fields ported directly from FOCUS 1.0 Clinical Records. However, there is functionality which was in the original application simply because it was a separate application from FOCUS 1.0. Examples are ‘Notes & Actions’, some fields in ‘Other Details’ and ‘Scanned Images’.The ‘Notes & Actions’ and ‘Scanned Images’ tabs will not be there for the production release as they are both available in their appropriate sections in other parts of FOCUS 2.0.The ‘Other Details’ tab will be rationalised and tidied up as appropriate. Other sections have not been completed out enough to show as screenshots or prototypes. Also missing from the screenshot is the builder control which will be integrated into the screens with tablet or pad computing becoming more fashionable and more likely as technology progresses.
